About Us

We are a student-run organization operating under Seeds of Hope seeking to bring New Hope to immigrant students from locally underprivileged communities through education and mentorship. Our students have immigrated from Uganda, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Ethiopia, Sudan, and Somalia. The words Nova Spero are Latin for New Hope. A new hope that is faith-based and can be fostered through a personal approach. Our vision is that our new friends will have more opportunities to grow and assimilate into American culture. We hope to promote education, self sufficiency, self esteem, family relations, and people skills. We want the students to feel welcomed and not afraid to dream big in a world that is telling them they cannot. Every American Deserves A Chance.
